Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. When you return, your browser sends the cookie back, which lets the site recognize your session and remember basic state. Local storage is a related browser technology that lets a web app save data (such as settings and layouts) directly on your device, without sending it back to the server on every request.

We use the term “cookies” loosely in this policy to cover cookies and these similar technologies, including local storage and session storage. They serve different purposes, but all of them store a small amount of information in your browser.

We group what we store into the following categories:

• Strictly necessary. Required for the service to work. This includes authentication and session cookies managed by our backend provider (Supabase) so you stay signed in, along with security and core functionality. These cannot be disabled because Obelion Terminal cannot operate without them.
• Functional / preferences. Remember your choices so the app feels consistent between visits — for example chart layouts, watchlists, and other UI preferences. These are typically stored in your browser’s local storage and stay on your device.
• Analytics. Used only if and when enabled, in aggregate, to understand usage and improve the product. Our use of analytics is currently minimal to none. If this changes materially, we will update this policy.

To be clear: we do not use cookies for third-party advertising or to build cross-site advertising profiles.

Some providers we rely on may set their own cookies that are necessary for their function. For example, our payment processor (Stripe) may set cookies to process payments and prevent fraud, and our authentication and backend provider (Supabase) may set cookies needed to maintain your session. These cookies are governed by each provider’s own policies.

We encourage you to review the cookie and privacy policies published by these providers on their respective websites to understand how they use cookies in connection with their services.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block cookies, delete existing ones, or be notified when a cookie is set. You can also clear local storage from the same settings.

• Clearing local storage will reset your saved preferences (such as chart layouts and watchlists) and may sign you out.
• Disabling or blocking strictly necessary cookies may break authentication and core features, and Obelion Terminal may not function correctly.
